Summary:Due to their social exclusion and marginalisation, children at risk of poverty are often deprived of access to good quality basic services. Such lack of access in turn increases the risk of poverty and threatens to trap the child in a cycle of persistent poverty and disadvantage, sometimes lasting throughout life.
