Summary:This is an excerpt from the thoughts of 168 children and youth from Hope and Homes for Children programmes and their partners about their experiences in isolation, their challenges and opportunities, and their hopes for the future. The children and youth are between the ages of 5 and adulthood and come from biological and foster homes, small group homes, day care centers, and crisis centers. Apart from the negatives, the children feel that this period has brought them something positive. They feel they have had more time to spend with their families and enjoy more time together.
Purpose:Sharing the understanding and experiences of children and young people during the COVID19 pandemic with social workers and child care and protection professionals.
