Summary:The aim of the study is to improve the understanding of the nature of early childhood development systems in Bulgaria. The study of the existing interactions between institutions, the interactions between them and families, and the approaches to children with special needs is complemented by a focused review of the regulatory and policy framework and a brief overview of European policies and practices.
