Summary:The Active Family Support model was developed by Hope and Homes for Children based on 20 years of practical experience. It is a flexible practice for planning appropriate interventions and services for vulnerable children and families. It is aimed at children at risk of separation from their families. It is also applied to the reintegration of children into their biological or foster families.
Purpose:Providing a model for family support, based on evidence from practice, through which it is possible to respond effectively to the specific elements of poverty and social exclusion that have led to family breakdown and risk of separation of the child from their parents.
