It is developmentally focused, strengths-based, uses resilience factors, is relationship-based and involves family and community. It achieves results by creating positive, safe and "healing" relationships and experiences that are based on a deep understanding of trauma, attachment disorders and developmental needs. The material also includes a guide presenting the necessary training and support for employees to implement the model.
Purpose:An overview of different models of care in residential services and guidelines for the training and practice of residential social workers and community support professionals.
